Seeking: Gifted Christian to accept the challenge of planning and serving as the Director of Contemporary Worship for a new contemporary worship service. Requires a commitment of 40 hours per month to develop, coordinate and administer a well-rounded, contemporary worship experience, insuring God is glorified, the Gospel proclaimed, and the love of Christ is shared. Collaborate with a dedicated Worship Committee; report to the Pastor; supported by members who are eager to serve. Recruit, audition, schedule, rehearse, train, and participate with qualified volunteer and paid musicians and vocalists. A degree in music or comparable experience in creative worship planning and execution; knowledge of music theory, sight reading for voice and proficiency on a musical instrument required; working knowledge of sound systems, mix/balance, computer technology and electronic instruments required. $25.00 per hour.
